About the role
We are building a design studio that competes on taste, craft, and story. Our Marketing & Brand Manager protects and extends that story across every surface where Cerro Studio appears: the website, Instagram, Pinterest, editorial features, the lookbook, newsletter, client-facing materials, and the project reveal photography program.
This is a hands-on role. You will write, plan, art-direct, schedule, and measure. You will work shoulder-to-shoulder with the Principal on press strategy and with our content agency on monthly content production.
What you’ll do
- Own the editorial calendar for the journal, newsletter, and social channels (Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn)
- Art-direct project photoshoots alongside our photographer and the Design Director
- Manage press strategy: pitches, media kits, publication relationships, exclusives
- Partner with the Principal on speaking engagements, podcast appearances, and industry events
- Lead paid marketing strategy across Google, Meta, and Pinterest in coordination with our agency
- Track and report on marketing KPIs: lead quality, MQL-to-SQL conversion, press placements, social growth
- Protect brand consistency across every touchpoint — voice, visuals, materials, and client-facing assets
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years of marketing, brand, or communications experience, ideally at a design, architecture, fashion, or hospitality brand
- Exceptional writing in a considered, editorial voice
- Strong visual eye — you can look at a photo and know whether it belongs in the feed
- Familiarity with paid marketing platforms and analytics (GA4, Meta, Pinterest, PostHog)
- Proven ability to manage agencies, photographers, and freelance contributors
Nice to have
- Prior PR experience or relationships with design editors
- Experience with Sanity, Webflow, or equivalent CMS platforms
- Background in luxury, lifestyle, or creative industries
A studio designed for the long run.
Competitive compensation, full health & wellness coverage, 401(k) with match, generous time off, a $2,500 annual learning stipend, and a beautiful place to work a block from the Pacific.
