Casa de la Cresta

Full Interior + Landscape Coordination

The Brief

A 1920s Spanish Colonial estate on two acres of oak-shaded hillside, untouched for a decade. The clients, relocating from the Bay Area, wanted a home that honored its bones while embracing the way they live now — barefoot, open, connected to the garden.

The Vision

We stripped back decades of well-intentioned updates to reveal the original plaster, the hand-forged ironwork, the clay tile that had been hidden under carpet. Then we layered in warmth — wide-plank white oak where the tile had cracked beyond repair, lime-washed walls in a custom shade we mixed to match the afternoon light, and linen everywhere the hand could touch.

The Transformation
