Landscape Design & Installation
The Central Coast is an outdoor-first region. Breaking the house into an inside and an outside is the design error that most aggressively dates a home. Our landscape engagements begin early — in concept — so the threshold between living room and loggia, between kitchen and kitchen garden, is a designed moment, not a negotiated compromise.
We are design director on landscape engagements; the landscape architect is principal on the horticultural and civil work. The two disciplines are led through weekly coordination meetings so the plant palette reads with the material palette, the paving reads with the interior floor, and the night-lighting reads with the interior lighting.
Our landscape partners carry the licenses, the civil engineering, the irrigation specification, and the installation. We carry the composition and the programming — where the dining happens, how the approach feels, where the children can be kids, how the property looks at dusk in January.
A typical engagement spans from site analysis at concept through through-installation supervision at build. A subset of projects also include ongoing garden stewardship for the first two years, managed through the general stewardship engagement.

Landscape-only for a finished house
Available as a twelve-to-twenty-four-month engagement for homes whose interiors don't need us.
Design fees are standard Cerro; landscape architect's fees are quoted by the partner. Hardscape, plant, and install costs are transparent pass-throughs with disclosed partner markups.
We co-deliver this capability with a named, licensed partner. Every engagement discloses which partner is on the project and on what terms.
